Office Technology Security Key Theme at A&A's SecTech Summit Event

Posted on Apr 5, 2017

Technology security is on everyone's mind these days, and rightfully so. Big data is a big deal. Digital information has never been more convenient, but, whether it's your credit card information at your favorite store or workplace's network infrastructure, it's never been more enticing for unscrupulous hackers.

No system is impenetrable. It would be irresponsbile to claim otherwise! But by implementing a range of organizational policies and appropriate software, you can be as prepared as anyone can be. Learning about effective strategies is really the biggest hurdle.

This is exactly why A&A Office Systems hosted our own SecTech Summit event at our private Cloudsmart data center in Branford, CT. We invited businesses, towns, schools and other organizations from across Connecticut to learn more about security solutions that can improve their office.

A&A's very own experts shared wisdom from their individual roles in small groups throughout the day. Working with our partners at Ricoh, Dale Rosemond showcased print security software, while Patrick Dill offered demonstrations of document scanning and electronic document management systems. One of the newest members to the A&A team, Russ Loignon, gave a great presentation about network security. In between talks, Ali Eslami provided tours around the data center.

And, of course, the standard A&A offerings of food, coffee and raffle prizes.

Our goal was to have our guests walk away more knowledgeable about technology security, better prepared to make the decisions and implement the solutions that will improve the security of their data. Whether a visitor is a current A&A customer or not, we are in a position to affect positive influence on local businesses and organizations in Connecticut. We hope our counsel is beneficial!

SecTech Summit also gave A&A an opportunity to really open up Cloudsmart to the public for the first time. We're always happy to open our doors for scheduled tours to any interested party, but hosting a planned event was a chance to address a wide array of topics and concerns in a casual, intimate setting.

Interested in seeing Cloudsmart yourself? Feel free to reach out to us to schedule a tour! We'd love to show you around!
